True Love After 40

I found this quote online and it was interesting, but I'm not sure whether I agree with it:

"Remember that the truest love, is one where your love for each other is greater than your need for each other." 

What are your thoughts?  I think love is healthier than need, yes.  At the same time, in an inter-dependent relationship, we do need each other.  Maybe the word "need" in this case is equated with "neediness" which is not at all healthy.  I just found this an interesting quote.  Don't know who said it.
